Meta's new Muse AI has claimed the @muse Instagram handle previously used by the British rock band Muse, sparking jokes about the tech giant's influence over social media branding. The band, with millions of followers and over three decades of performances, now uses @museband. The change drew attention after Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Meta's Muse personal AI agent on September 8. However, no public evidence shows Meta forcibly removed the username; fans were already discussing the switch in early June. Meta describes Muse as a personal AI agent that takes action, running inside Muse Secure VM.
